Circulene

Circulene, also called Corannulenes are aromatic hydrocarbons. The structuring member of Circulene is that the cyclic aromatics in turn form a cyclic compound. Circulene may be composed of both aromatics and heteroaromatics from.

Nomenclature for easier Circulene the number of aromatic rings is prefixed in brackets. That is the systematic name of corannulene circulene, coronene - circulene.

Construction

Circulene divided into an inner and an outer perimeter. Both perimeter form durchkonjugierte systems, depending on the number of electrons that can have both aromatic and antiaromatic character.

The coupling between the two parameters depend on the system under consideration. Possible is a strong coupling between the two perimeters, which corresponds to the main resonance within each of aromatics and a weak coupling which corresponds to the presence of a separate inner and outer aromatic system.
