Circus of Power

Circus of Power was an American hard rock and metal band. It was founded in 1986 in New York City and lasted until the mid- 1990s.

History

Initially, the band consisted of vocalist Alex Mitchell, guitarist Ricky Mahler and Gary Sunshine, bassist Craymore Stevens, and drummer Ryan Maher. The band played some time in New York before she could obtain a recording contract with RCA Records. Around 1990 came Zowie added as bassist. 1990 were able to play on the tour for their album Tyr Circus of Power as the opening act for Black Sabbath. Zowie was replaced by Marc " Frap " Frappier. In 1991 the band signed with Columbia Records and moved to Los Angeles in order. In Columbia, they brought out in 1993 Magic & Madness, although the critics not bad section, but was denied the greater commercial success. The band broke up around 1995.

In 2009, the band played in Los Angeles a reunion show.
