Cirkulane

Cirkulane ( German: Zirkulane ) is a town and a municipality in the Spodnja Štajerska region in Slovenia.

Location and population

In the overall community consisting of 13 villages and hamlets in 2309 people. The main town Cirkulane alone has 363 inhabitants. The community is located east of Ptuj Wine Country Haloze and borders Croatia.

History

On 1 March 2006 Cirkulane was an independent municipality. Previously, she was incorporated into the municipality of Gorišnica. Worth seeing is the Anchenstein castle and built in the 12th century Church of St. Barbara ( Sveta Barbara ) with its 52 -meter-high bell tower.
