Cis, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Cis ( German Friedrich Thal ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Świętajno ( Schwentainen ) in Szczycieński powiat ( county Ortelsburg ).

Geographical Kage

Cis located 17 kilometers east of the county town Szczytno ( Ortelsburg ) and four kilometers south of Świętajno ( Schwentainen, 1938-1945 Altkirchen ) national road DK 53, Olsztyn ( Olsztyn ) about Szczytno after Rozogi ( Friedrichshof ) and continue to Ostrołęka ( Ostrolenka ) runs. History

On November 18, 1811, the forester Czies was bought by bailiff Friedrich Wollschläger and subsequently renamed Friedrich valley. Before 1945, the townscape was dominated by scattered large and small courtyards. Between 1874 and 1945 Frederick valley belonged to the district of Liebenberg (now Polish: clone ) in the district of Ortel Castle in the district of Königsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia. Church

The majority Protestant population before 1945 Friedrich valley was in the parish Schwentainen ( 1938-1945 Altkirchen, today Polish: Świętajno ) incorporated and belonged to the church district Ortelsburg ( Szczytno ) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Church of the Old Prussian Union. The local church is the parish church for the majority here now living Catholics and is dedicated to St. Andrzej Bobola.
