Citilink

Jakarta airport

Citilink is an Indonesian low-cost airline based in Jakarta and based on the Jakarta airport. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia.

History

Since Garuda Indonesia has been pushed back more and more of new low cost as Batavia Air and Lion Air in Germany, they decided to start their own airline division. 2001 Citilink went with several Fokker F28 at the start and opened up goals that were previously never served by the parent company, Garuda, for example, Gorontalo on Sulawesi. It was soon resorted to more modern and larger Boeing 737-300, which are gradually replaced by newly ordered Airbus A320 -200. 2006 Citilink was after successful integration in the Indonesian aviation, an independent company.

Destinations

Citilink operated exclusively national targets, mainly from smaller airfields.
