City of Cockburn
- 32.1115.78333333333Koordinaten: 32 ° 6 ' S, 115 ° 47' O The City of Cockburn is a Local Government Area ( LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia. Cockburn belongs to the city of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. The area is 168 km ² and has about 74,500 inhabitants.
Cockburn is located south of the Swan River approximately 15 to 25 km south-west of the center of Perth on the west coast. The seat of the City Council is in the Spearwood area in the western half of the LGA, where about 8900 inhabitants.
Management
The Cockburn Council has ten members, nine are Councillor ( three each from the Central, East and West Ward ) elected by the inhabitants of the three Wards. The Mayor ( Mayor ) and Council President is also elected by all residents of the City.
