Marion is located approximately southeast of the city center in the middle of the stretch of coast from Adelaide to Saint -Vincent- golf.

The area includes 26 districts: Ascot Park, Bedford Park, Clovelly Park, Darlington, Dover Gardens, Edwardstown, Glandore, Glengowrie, Hallett Cove, Marino, Marion, Mitchell Park, Morphettville, O'Halloran Hill, Oaklands Park, Park Holme, South Plympton, Plympton Park, Seacliff Park, Seacombe Gardens, Seacombe Heights, Seaview Downs, Sheidow Park, Sturt, Trott Park and Warradale.

The administrative headquarters of the council is located in Sturt district in the center of the LGA.

Management

The Marion City Council has 13 members. 12 Councillor elected by the residents of the four Wards ( three each from South, East, West and Central Ward). These four districts are set independently of the districts. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the City.
