West Torrens belongs to the city of Adelaide, capital of South Australia. The area is 37 km ² in size and has about 52,000 inhabitants.

West Torrens is located on the coast of Adelaide and is bordered to the east by the city center. The area includes 25 districts: Adelaide Airport, Ashford, Brooklyn Park, Camden Park, Cowandilla, Fulham, Glandore, Glenelg North, Hilton, Keswick, Kurralta Park, Lockleys, Marleston, Mile End, Mile End South, Netley, Novar Gardens, Plympton, North Plympton, Richmond, West Richmond, Thebarton, Torrensville, Underdale and West Beach. The administrative headquarters of the council is in the Hilton neighborhood.

Management

The West Torrens City Council has 15 members, 14 are elected Councillor of the inhabitants of the seven Wards ( two each from Airport, Hilton, Keswick, Lockleys, Morphett, Pympton and Thebarton Ward). These seven counties are set independently of the districts. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the City.
