Civic List (Slovenia)

The Državljanska lista ( German: Civil list, short DL) is a political party in Slovenia, which is locates as liberal.

History

The party was founded in October 2011 at the instigation of Gregory Virants under the name Državljanska lista Gregorja Viranta ( German: Gregor Virants civil list, short LGV).

In April 2012, renamed the current name Državljanska lista took place.

On 9 November 2012, it was officially a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe ( ALDE).

Orientation

The party is committed to a citizen-friendly state apparatus for cutting red tape, reducing government spending and the withdrawal of the state from the economy.

On initial start of the 2011 general election she succeeded with 8.42% of the catchment to the National Assembly.

Government participation

Since February 2012, the party was involved in the center-right government of Prime Minister Janez Janša. Due to the corruption affair Janša she retired in January 2013 from the government back; available to it so that no longer has a majority in parliament.

The DL is involved in since March 2013 reigning four -party coalition government of Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek.
