CKIS-FM

CKIS -FM is a private radio station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. On the transmitter current top 40 hits are sent at the Contemporary Hit Radio format. The station is operated by Rogers Media. Another station on the same program scheme operates Rogers Media in Edmonton, Alberta. The transmitter sends in Toronto with a power of 4,700 watts. Broadcast is the program from the First Canadian Place.

History

On 8 August 1990 Rawlco Communications received a broadcast license from the Canadian Radio -television and Telecommunications Commission ( CRTC ). At the beginning we sent American Country Music for the target group of 25 to 49 year olds. The station began its broadcast in 1993. As the musician Anne Murray officially ushered in the transmission mode on 26 January 1993. In 1999, Rogers Communication the station and changed the transmission format to Contemporary Hit Radio. This transmission format was maintained until 2003. Until 2003, the Jack -FM format was introduced and sent to 2009 Variety Hits. As of 2009 it again changed the transmission format and rang the second KISS -FM Aere, which has been maintained until today.
