Claire Baker

Claire Brennan Baker, Claire Baker ( born March 4, 1971 in Dunfermline as Claire Brennan ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party.

Baker grew up in Kelty and attended the University of Edinburgh. Subsequently, she received her PhD in English Literature at the University of Glasgow. She is married to the Labour politician Richard Baker, who holds a parliamentary seat of choice region of North East Scotland.

Political career

First ran Brennan Baker at the Scottish Parliament elections in 2007 on the regional list of Mid Scotland and Fife region in national elections and gained a seat in the Scottish Parliament. In the 2011 parliamentary elections Brennan Baker candidate for the constituency of Mid Fife and Glenrothes, but lost to the candidate of the SNP, Tricia Marwick. However, due to its position on the regional list, it represents the constituency Mid Scotland and Fife for a further term.
