Claire McDowell

Claire McDowell ( born November 2, 1877 in New York City; † October 23, 1966 in Hollywood) was an American actress who is best known in the silent film era world.

Life

Claire McDowell was in 1877 in New York City, the daughter of Jack and Mary McDowell (born Presquell ) born. She studied acting and began her artistic career in theaters. In 1906 she married actor Charles Hill Maile, with whom she made many movies in her later life. The marriage was on January 23, 1906 to February 17, 1937, the death of Charles. They had two children by him, Robert and Eugene.

1908 McDowell appeared in The Devil for the first time in a film together.
