Valley of Clarée
The Clarée is a river in France, which runs in the Provence- Alpes -Cote d' Azur in the Hautes -Alpes. It rises in the Cozie Alps, near the Mont Thabor ( 3178 m), in the municipality of Névache. The source is located below the Col de l' Aiguille Noire, on the border to the neighboring Savoie département in the Rhône - Alpes; the source stream initially called Ruisseau des Rochilles. The Clarée drains generally in a southeasterly direction, always parallel to the Italian border, and ends after 32 kilometers at the boundary of the municipality of Val -de- Prés and Montgenevre as a right tributary of the Durance.
