Claremorris

Clare Morris ( Irish: County Clare Clainne Mhuiris ) is a town in Ireland. It is located in the southwest of County Mayo in the province of Connacht, at the intersection of national roads N17 and N60, and has 2595 inhabitants ( 2006).

Traffic

Claremorris is located at the junction of the N17 (Galway - Tubbercurry ( Sligo) ) with the N60 ( Castlebar - Roscommon ). On 19 May 1862, the town's railway station was opened. There are train connections to Westport, Ballina and Dublin. The branch line to Ballinrobe but was shut down.
