Clarence C. Pope

Clarence Cullam Pope ( born October 26, 1929 in Shreveport, Louisiana; † January 8th, 2012 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) was an Anglican bishop of the Episcopal Church of the United States of America.

Life

Clarence Pope was ordained deacon in June 1954 and received In May 1955 his ordination. He was rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge. On September 14, 1984, he was elected Bishop of Fort Worth and consecrated in 1985 by John Maury Allin and Stanley Hamilton Atkins and James Barrow Brown bishop. In 1994 he resigned from his office and gave his conversion known in the Roman Catholic Church; a short time later in 1995 he made his withdrawal.

On 6 August 2007, he finally came in with his wife of the Roman Catholic Church.

He was married and the father of two children since October 1, 1957.
