Clarity is the debut studio album by the German music producer Zedd. It was first published on 2 October 2012 in the United States and Canada, on November 23, also in Germany. On the album had, among other things Ellie Goulding and Ryan Tedder with.
Singles
- Shave It Up was released as the first single from the album on November 8, 2011 Skrillex ' record label Owsla. The Remixes EP contained the song remixes by Tommy Trash, Kaskade and 501 The original title of the track was " Shave It Up", but was renamed and shortened for the album. On November 1, 2011, the music video premiered on YouTube.
- Spectrum, the second single from the album, includes vocals by Matthew Koma. It was published on 4 June 2012 at the label Interscope Records and reached number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs. Lady Gaga helped with the marketing. As of July 31, was also an EP for sale, which contains ten tracks, including, among other remixes of Armin van Buuren, A- Trak and Arty. Criticism
The album received mostly positive criticism. Andy Kellman of Allmusic said the album will appeal to those who like the good " handmade " dance-pop. These people should pursue Zedd. He forgave four out of five stars. Said Michael Wakabayashi from the magazine Magnetic, one should first buy the single " Clarity " on iTunes, and if you love them, buy the whole album. This will not disappoint. According to one author of Dancing Astronaut album was more of a grand narrative rather than an arbitrary compilation, making the album Justices † resemble.
