Clark's anemonefish

Clark's anemonefish ( Amphiprion clarkii )

Clark's anemonefish ( Amphiprion clarkii ) has all clownfish the widest dissemination. He lives in the coral reefs of Southeast Asia, from the coast of northern Australia to southern Japan, from Melanesia to the northern waters of the Indian Ocean, the Persian and Arabian Gulf. Its widespread distribution comes from its long for clown fish planktonic larval phase in which the larvae are drifted far from the ocean currents.

As an ecological generalist accept all ten symbiotic anemones as a partner. Amphiprion clarkii is quite large with up to 15 centimeters for an anemone fish.
