Classification of objects of the administrative-territorial system of Ukraine
KOATUU ( КОАТУУ, Класифікатор об'єктів адміністративно - територіального устрою України / Klassyfikator objektiw administratywno - terytorialnoho ustroju - " key for administratively - territorial objects of Ukraine" ) is a key for the classification of administrative objects of Ukraine, similar to the municipality key in German-speaking or Russian OKATO system.
Objects
With the KOATUU system, the following objects can be distinguished:
- Autonomous Republic of Crimea
- Oblasts
- Rajone
- Cities
- Stadtrajone
- Urban-type settlements
- District municipalities
- Settlements
- Villages
Structure and organization
The system consists of four hierarchy levels, for indicating an identification block is: XX XXX XXX XX used with the following code designations:
- Section 1-2 - First level of the hierarchy Autonomous Republic of Crimea
- Oblasts
- Cities with special status
- Cities under Oblastverwaltung
- Rajone
- Stadtrajone in cities with special status
- Cities under Rajonsverwaltung
- Stadtrajone in cities under Oblastverwaltung
- Urban-type settlements
- District municipalities
- Settlements
- Villages
Here are the numbers 3, 6 and 9-10 equivalents following code:
- Paragraph 3: 1 - city under Oblastverwaltung
- 2 - Rajon
- 3 - Stadtrajon
Paragraph 9 and 10 stand for the village and settlement parts of a community and are numbered consecutively. If there are no villages or settlements, so the code " 00 " is assumed, otherwise the first place begins with the code " 01", the second one with "02 ", etc.
