Claude Esteban

Claude Esteban ( born July 26, 1935 in Paris, † April 10, 2006 in Paris) was a French poet and essayist.

Claude Esteban is one of the great French poet of recent decades. He also wrote essays on poetry, and numerous essays on art, modern and contemporary artists ( Raoul Ubac, Giorgio Morandi, Marc Chagall, Georges Braque, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Arpad Szenes, Eduardo Chillida, Alberto Giacometti, Pablo Picasso ... ), but also on old painter (Francisco Goya, Diego Velazquez, Rembrandt van Rijn, Claude Lorrain, Caravaggio ... ). He was the founder of the poetry and art magazine Argile, edited by Aimé Maeght (24 H. 1973-1981 ).
