Claude Piquemal

Claude Piquemal ( born March 13, 1939 in Siguer, Ariège ) is a French former track and field athlete. At a height of 1.72 m his competition weight was 64 kg.

Sporting career

Claude Piquemal took in Rome in 1960 for the first time participate in the Olympics. He left in the 100 -meter run in the quarter- finals. The squadron was disqualified in the flow. At the European Championships 1962 in Belgrade, he won the 100 meters in 10.4 seconds gold ahead of compatriot Jocelyn Delecour. The French squadron occupied despite the two fast sprinters at the end in only 40.0 seconds 4th place

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 Piquemal reached the 100 meters semi-final, where he was eliminated in 10.5 seconds. The two runners ahead of him were stopped with 10.5. With the season in the cast Marc Berger, Jocelyn Delecour, Claude Piquemal and Roger Bambuck France won in 39.4 seconds before the relay from the Soviet Union.

In Mexico City Piquemal In 1968, at the Olympic Games only in the season and won in the lineup Gérard Fenouil, Delecour, Piquemal and Bambuck in 38.43 seconds bronze.
