Life

The 400-meter runner in 2001 was fourth the Junior European Championships in singles and second in the relay. In 2002 she was German junior champion, and in 2003 she finished sixth of the U -23 European Championships in the individual competition and won bronze in the relay.

At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 she won the German 4 x 400 - meter relay team to sixth in the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 to fifth place. At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, she was eighth in the relay and at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, it reached its Season fellow fifth place. At the European Championships 2010 in Barcelona, she won the anchor leg of the German 4 x 400 - meter relay silver along with Esther Cremer, Janin Lindenberg and Fabienne Kohlmann.

In the years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, she was German champion in the 400 -meter run, 2006, 2007 and 2009 champion also in the hall. With her personal best of 51.79 s, however, she was not able to qualify for international events on a world level in singles and also at the European Championships 2006, the semi-final was the last stop. In 2009, she therefore tried to change to the 800 - meter track, but was only able to win a bronze medal at the German Championships, compliance with the standards for the world championships did not succeed. In 2012 she ended her sports career.

Claudia Grunwald launched for the sports club SC Potsdam and coached under Frank Möller. At a size of 1.71 m, they had a competition weight of 62 kg. Full-time she is sporting a soldier. In the winter semester 2009/2010 she recorded a distance education program in the Department of Sport Management. Since September 2011 she is married.
