Claudio Bravo (painter)

Claudio Bravo ( born November 8, 1936 in Valparaíso, † June 4, 2011 in Taroudant, Morocco ) was a contemporary Chilean painter, who presented with photorealistic accuracy still lifes, as well as portraits in his paintings.

Life

In 1945 Claudio Bravo studied painting in Spain, then he worked with well-known painters.

In 1972 he participated in Documenta 5 in Kassel in the Department of realism.

Due to the precise technical execution of his paintings, drawings and pastels Bravo is one of the representatives of hyperrealism. Bravos images are sometimes extremely ' exact ' and worked hard to distinguish from photos.
