Cleostratus (crater)

Cleostratus is an impact crater on the moon. It lies on the northwestern edge of the moon 's front panel. It appears by its marginal position strongly distorted from Earth and is due to the libration not always visible. It is located southeast of Pythagoras and northeast of the Oceanus Procellarum.

The crater was officially named in 1935 by the IAU by Kleostratos of Tenedos.
