Clifford Mulenga

Clifford Mulenga (* August 5, 1987 in Kabompo ) is a Zambian football player. It is used on the left wing.

Career

In the club

Mulenga played in his youth at the Chimparamba Great Eagles. In 2004 he moved to Pretoria University FC in the National First Division, the second highest league in South Africa. For the next season he was loaned to the Swedish first division club Örgryte IS, but where he could not prevail. The subsequent attempt to recommend a trial by the French first division SM Caen for a contract, failed, so that Mulenga returned to South Africa. 2008 then he moved to the Bidvest Wits in the highest South African league, the Premier Soccer League. However, after only a half season Mulenga was loaned in early 2009 to the league rivals Thanda Royal Zulu. For the season 2009/10 he moved to the Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Mulenga was honored by the Confédération africaine de football (CAF ) in 2007 for best young player.

In the National Team

Together with William Njovu led the Zambian Mulenga U20 national team at the Junior World Championships 2007 in Canada in the second round, where you narrowly failed to Nigeria. In the Zambian national team he debuted in February 2005 in a friendly match against Botswana. End of December 2007, he was nominated by coach Patrick Phiri for the African Nations Cup in Ghana in 2008, where he came on as a substitute for use in the preliminary round match against Sudan.
