Fan culture and rivalries

Club Africain has 12,000 club members, making it the largest club of Tunisia. The fans traditionally come from the district of Bab El Jdid from the capital Tunis, but are, as is often common among successful clubs in the country. The fans called Clubistes. There is a Fanfreundschaft to the fans of Wydad Casablanca and Zamalek SC. In 1995, the African Winners were founded, this fan group is considered the first Ultra grouping in Tunisia, Africa and the Arab world.

As historically biggest competitor is considered the city rivals Esperance. Both clubs all over Tunisia distributed existing constituencies. Overall, the derby has been played 141 times already, both teams have won together 37 times the Tunisian championship and added to the cup wins both teams to get to 23 country cup wins. The derby is therefore considered as the most important game in the Tunisian club football.

Another city rival Stade Tunisia. However Stade Tunisia in recent decades played no major role in the championship battle in Tunisia, which is why this meeting is considered by the CA fans rather than small Derby and traditionally only has meaning. The balance between the two teams clearly speaks for the Red and Whites. From 112 Games Club Africain won 60, played 36 times draws and lost 16 games, scored 145 goals in the process and conceded 79 goals. The last Derby victory from the small neighbors against the seemingly all-powerful neighbors dated 14 October 2000. (As of June 1, 2013 )

An intense and national rivalry to ES Sahel from the town of Sousse, about 130 kilometers south of the capital Tunis.
