Clyde Best

Clyde Cyril Best MBE ( born February 24, 1951 in Somerset, Bermuda ) is a former football player bermudischer.

Best began in his youth at Somerset Trojans, before moving in 1968 to West Ham United, for whom he played 174 games in seven years and 46 goals. In 1975 he moved to the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the USA. A year later he went to the Portland Timbers, in 1977 returned to Europe to Feyenoord Rotterdam. But in 1978 he went again to the Portland Timbers. His career ended in Toronto Blizzard.

In his footballer career, he also scored a goal in two appearances for the national team in Bermuda, whose head coach was after retirement of 1997 to 1999.
