CodeLite
Code Lite is a free, open source and cross-platform development environment for C and C .
Formation
In August 2006 Eran Ifrah began work on CodeLite. His initial aim was to develop based on ctags, SQLite and a Yacc parser autocomplete library that can be used by other development environments. The result was a demonstration of software called Lite Editor, in order to present the functionalities. Over time, the performance continued to grow and eventually became the editor of a complete development environment.
Properties
CodeLite is completely using free software and is based on the free library wxWidgets. It is not tied to a specific compiler and among its features are project management, auto-completion, restructuring, syntax highlighting, code folding, support for Subversion as well as integration of the GNU debugger. In addition CodeLite is extensible through plugins.
