Codex Vaticanus Graecus 64

The Codex Vaticanus Graecus 64 is a manuscript owned by the library of the Vatican. The parchment codex has a format of 318 × 205 mm, consists of 289 pages and was written around the year 1270. He comes from Thessaloniki contains a collection of 35 letters, which are known as Sokratikerbriefe and were written in the 2nd or 3rd century AD by different authors.

From the Codex Vaticanus Graecus 64 all other textual witnesses of Sokratikerbriefe depend. The manuscript was also fundamental to the Editio princeps of Sokratikerbriefe, which was published in 1637 by Leone Allacci.
