Colin Beavan

Colin Beavan is an American non-fiction author and blogger. He became known through the experiment, one year to live with his family in New York City with " zero impact ". The rules of the experiment was to produce no waste except compost, nothing to buy except food produced within a 250 -mile radius, using no carbon- based transportation, and using no paper products, including toilet paper. He and his family were the subject of the documentary No Impact Man: The Documentary, directed by Laura Gabbert and Justin license. A book about the duration of experiment was released in September 2009 under the German title " Barefoot in Manhattan - My ecologically correct adventures ".
