Colin Edwin

Colin Edwin ( born June 2, 1970 in Melbourne, Australia, real name Colin Edwin Balch ) is an Australian bassist.

Since late 1993 he has been member of the British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. Previously, he played in several bands such as the Ex - Wise Heads and Random Noise Generator. In 2001, he served the double bass with no- one, a project of Porcupine Tree bandleader Steven Wilson. Edwin is known as a jazz fan, plays fretted, fretless, double basses and Uprights ( a double bass form without the sound body, applied electronically with piezo pick-ups and / or classical coils customers ).
