Collège Louise-Michel in Paris

The Collège Louise -Michel is a comprehensive school ( secondary education) in Paris. It is located in the Porte Saint Martin in the 10th arrondissement, on the banks of the Canal Saint -Martin. The College was founded in 1945 and named after the anarchist Louise Michel.

Construction

The first building was built to a design from 1933 by the architect Daniel and Lionel Brandon and Raoul Brandon. The first part of the work was completed in July 1937, the building was only completed in 1939 by Edouard Beugner. There is a 1936 created by François Bazin relief depicting an allegory of teaching on the facade of the Collège. 2007, the building was renovated. In October 2013, there were at the Collège Louise -Michel 502 students from 20 countries in 20 categories. It houses bilingual sections with 25 students: English- German and English- Spanish.
