The Cologne Centurions were a Cologne-based American football team, the successor to the Barcelona Dragons played in the NFL Europe since 2004.

The stadium in which the Cologne Centurions fought out their home games, the Rhein Energie Stadion was just under 51,000 seats. The mascot of the Cologne Centurions was the ancient Roman centurion " Jupp Maximus ".

On 14 March 2007, the Cologne-based American football team officially announced that it would be called from now on " Cologne Centurions ". So the team decided to make wider express his attachment to the city of Cologne.
