The Rio Colorado is a 1114 km long river in the south of Argentina.

Its sources are located on the eastern slopes of the Andes at the height of the Chilean volcano Tinguiririca ( about 34 ° 48 ' S). The Colorado River flows predominantly east- south-easterly direction. Through the channels of its river deltas between 39 ° 30 'and 39 ° 50' south latitude, it empties into the Atlantic Ocean. The last 320 km to the mouth are navigable.
