Colorado State Highway 3

The Colorado State Highway 3 (short CO 3) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Colorado, which runs in a north -south direction.

The CO 3 begins southeast of Durango on the route of U.S. Highways 160 and 550 and then runs parallel to them in the valley of the Animas River in the north. He reached the city in the 8th Avenue and return to the Santa Rita Drive the route of U.S. Highways.

History

The evasion of U.S. Highways 160 and 550 was completed in 1982 and its old route to the entrance of Durango has been downgraded to the Colorado State Highway 3. The second link on the Santa Rita Drive back to the U.S. Highway was opened in 2002.
