Colt Ford (born 1970 in Athens, Georgia, bourgeois Jason Farris Brown ) is an American country - rap musicians.

Biography

Ford grew up with country music, but then switched to R & B and hip -hop. With Jermaine Dupri, he had already produced an album, but that did not bring it to publication.

Then he took once a six-year break from music, in which he was active as a professional golfer and coach.

His musical return end of the 2000s was then a mix between country and rap. His debut album, Ride Through the Country in 2009 reached number 12 in the rap and No. 34 on the country charts. With his second album Chicken & Biscuits, he reached a year later place 4 or 8 place and came also among the Top 40 on the Billboard 200

Colt Ford released his recordings for the label Average Joe 's Records, which he founded together with a friend, the producer Shannon Houchins, in 2006.
