Combles

Combles is a commune with 766 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region; it belongs to the district Peronne and is capital of the canton Combles.

History

During the German - Prussian War (1870 /71) was Combles affected by the Battle of Bapaume. In the summer of 1916 was fought during the First World War, the Battle of the Somme.
