Come & Get It was written by Ester Dean, MS Eriksen and TE Hermansen. It was produced by Stargate. Musically Come & Get It is an electropop and synthpop tracks, which also includes elements of Indian music. The song was used as the debut single from the album Stars Dance published on April 7, 2013, Hollywood Records and officially introduced in the radio show Ryan Seacrest. The British edition followed on 14 July 2013. In Germany Come & Get It reached number 58 on the charts. In the U.S., it reached the official Billboard Charts 6th place and was awarded double platinum. The song was originally planned for the sixth studio album Talk That Talk by Rihanna, but found it no place, so he was offered other artists.

Your first live appearance with Come & Get It had Gomez on April 14, 2013 at the MTV Movie Awards 2013. She also sang the song in the U.S. TV shows Dancing with the Stars, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Late Show with David Letterman, the Radio Disney Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards 2013.

The video for the song was directed by Anthony Mandler, who has been known for his collaboration with Rihanna. It premiered on May 7, 2013 in MTV. In Gomez VEVO five videos were posted by five remixes on June 18, 2013.
