Comité Colbert

The Comité Colbert is an entity created in 1954 by the French perfumer Jean -Jacques Guerlain association of today 70 companies (2009 ) and 11 affiliated institutions. His goal is to make known French manufacturer of luxury products, know- how and their products at home and abroad. The 70 of the union affiliates ( 2009) employed in 2009 a total of 72,000 employees and generated sales of 22.4 billion euros.

Since 1987, renowned for their excellence, the Comité tradition connected houses, among which the oldest were founded in the 18th century, in the organization of the competition Concours des espoir de la Création, where young talents of French art -, graphic - engage, fashion and design schools and art schools will be awarded for their creativity.

The elected in 2006 for 4 years CEO is Madame Françoise Montenay, simultaneously Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the House of Chanel.
