Commander in Chief Pacific Fleet Headquarters (World War II)

The CINCPAC Fleet Headquarters, with full name Commander in Chief Pacific Fleet Headquarters, at the naval base Pearl Harbor in Hawaii are a military buildings of historical significance.

They were from the beginning of 1942 until January 1945 the headquarters of Chester W. Nimitz, who was a few days after the attack on Pearl Harbor new commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. During the Second World War Nimitz all Allied land, sea and air forces of the comprehensive most of the Pacific Ocean Areas command area Pacific (POA ) were from 1942 until the surrender of Japan also assumed. In January 1945, the Nimitz CINCPAC Fleet Headquarters relocated to Guam in order to be closer to the war.

Since 28 May 1987, CINCPAC Fleet Headquarters are a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is open to visitors traffic.
