Commander Tom
Commander Tom (actually Tom Weyer ) is a German techno producer and DJ.
Career
Since the 1980s, Tom Weyer has worked as a DJ, first in the then popular disco " Trianon " in Ötigheim in Rastatt, Baden- Württemberg. The times where owner Mr Kölmel Senior always said " He would be the Commander aboard his discotheque", so then the nickname "Commander Tom". He then moved to the " Drops Super Disco" in Kehl / Goldscheuer (Baden- Württemberg) and the associated "Radio Drops " in the 1990s and in the discotheque " Rhine Park" in Germersheim ( Rhineland -Palatinate). He was there one of the hottest DJs for black music, but tended with the burgeoning techno movement towards harder rhythms.
Since the establishment of the Neckar Gemünder Undercover Music Group ( UCMG ) associated labels Noom Records in July 1993, he served as A & R Director responsible for the production and selection of publications and met with the mixture of hard trance and acid techno the spirit of the scene. Noom 06 ( by Tom de Luxe aka Commander Tom) was played to one of the best selling boards of its time and was equally in clubs as well as discos. His first production (along with DJ Peter Pan) Are released on Eye as Noom 13 and helped him to worldwide breakthrough. Since then he has produced under various pseudonyms as chief New York, Nexus 6, Phan - Tom, Tom De Luxe and Toronto. He was also part of the formations The dance instruction, The Freaquez, King Deluxe and mandala and made appearances at major events such as Energy (1992 to 1996), Tribal Gathering and almost all love parades. From 2001, a remix series of Are was released on Eye on Pulsive with the Commander Tom Platz 1 of the National Dance -Charts. He then managed the end of 2004 with "Attention" to jump on the # 1 of the German club charts and was also taken the English label "Ministry of Sound" under contract. In the English sales charts it reached with the hit right off the bat # 23
