Commodity trading advisor

Commodity Trading Advisor (English commodity trading advisor, in short: CTA) is the professional name for the manager of a particular investment product ( the " Managed Futures", a specialized hedge fund asset class ) on the basis of futures contracts.

A CTA registration is required if:

When Occupation is a trademarked term that is exclusively business or to those people who were registered in accordance with the Federal Law " Commodity Exchange Act " under evidence of relevant qualifications in the U.S. regulatory Commodity Futures Trading Commission ( CFTC ). For CTAs membership in the National Futures organization is imperative. As part of this membership, among other things, the identity of the CTAs is clarified by an " FBI Background Check". The registry of all approved CTAs via the National Futures Association, can be looked at in the BASIC database all registered Commodity Trading Advisor.

CTAs are subject to one of the most heavily regulated financial market supervision regime.
