Companions of the Cross

The Companions of the Cross ( Order code: CC) is a Roman Catholic community of priests. The, by Father Robert Bedard (1929-2011) founded, community was recognized in 2003 by the Holy See as a Society of Apostolic Life.

History

The first meetings began in 1984, the small group gathered around Father Bob Bedard and found its home in the parish of St. Mary in Ottawa, Canada. Soon the community was assisted by Archbishop Joseph- Aurèle Plourde (1967-1989) of Ottawa in their endeavor. By 1986 several priests and seminarians of the Priestly Community joined, had been elected to their manager Bob Bedard. Organization
