Complication (horology)

A complication describes additional functions watches for a mechanical movement, which go beyond the usual display of hour, minute and second.

Description

Complications can be understood as modules that use the movement, but are not part of this, and among other things, over functions such as date, large date, jumping change of date, retrograde displays, moon phase display, full calendar, annual calendar, perpetual calendar, chronometer regulation, stop seconds, Chronograph, Rattrapante, Alarm Clock, minute, match factory, equation of time or more time zones.
