Conclusion
A Conclusion ( from the Latin for facit, it makes ', it returns', plural: upshots, also upshots ) or summary (from the French Résumé, which again or specify an ') is an evaluative summary that presents mostly a result will and relevant conclusions are drawn. It is a type of text, which is usually at the end of a scientific article, other pleading, or a speech.
With the conclusion of a change of topic - level to meta - level is performed. It leaves the concept space of the topic to talk about this.
The conclusion contains the score of a text - for example in the following sense:
- Short and concise summary of the key messages and the main findings of the work.
- To what extent the author has achieved his goal by his actions?
- What conclusions can to the investigation?
- What outlooks for the future open up?
- Where / how should the future functioning be modified?
- Also several appeals and a final question are possible.
- It is also possible to point to issues or areas of the theme that has been intentionally disregarded or that are still open or could not be clarified.
- In all cases, but should follow a good concluding sentence, in which the position again comes into play.
- Even your own (personal ) rating can be installed in the conclusion.
- In a scientific paper concludes typically also contains the answer to the hypothesis or research question.
