Condon (crater)

Condon is an impact crater on the eastern edge of the lunar front side, on the northeastern edge of the sinus Successus, south of the crater Apollonius. Through the two holes of the wall to the south and northwest lava came from the sine Successus into the interior, which now is therefore almost flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1976 after the U.S. physicist Edward Condon.
