Condorcet (crater)

Condorcet is a big crater on the eastern edge of the lunar front side, on the southeastern edge of Mare Crisium, southwest of the crater Hansen. The crater floor is level, the crater wall has terracing on.

The crater was officially named in 1935 by the IAU after the French mathematician Marie Jean Antoine Nicolas Caritat, Marquis de Condorcet.
