Confédération nationale du travail

In France, two unions bear the name Confédération nationale du travail (CNT ).

Have their origin both in a group that was founded in 1946 by living in exile in France Spanish anarcho-syndicalists. Its name referred to the Spanish Confederación Nacional del Trabajo.

CNT -F

The Confédération Nationale du Travail - Vignoles (CNT -F ) is a revolutionary- syndicalist trade union federation, which was excluded in 1995/96 from the anarcho-syndicalist International Workers Association ( IAA). The CNT -F is present in 66 regions of France and the overseas departments and unites trade unions of 14 branches (as of March 2005). The number of members goes against 1000 (Source: Internal Bulletin, March 2004). The strong growth in recent years, union was recently in many strikes, particularly in the service sector of Paris, active. The so-called "CNT - Vignoles " also occurs in demonstrations of globalization critics in appearance, as happened in Gothenburg and Evian.

CNT -AIT

The Confédération Nationale du Travail - AIT (CNT -AIT ) is connected to the anarcho-syndicalist International Workers Association ( IAA). It is a decentralized anarchist union confederation federally constructed and consists of local or occupational groups ( syndicates ) in currently 21 French cities (2008). Its membership is - by its own account - currently in the triple digits. It publishes the produced locally, monthly magazine Le Combat Syndicaliste.
