Confindustria

Confindustria ( Confederazione Generale dell'Industria Italiana ) is Italy's largest employer organization.

It represents the bulk of the Italian manufacturing industry and the service-providing sector. Nationally, a total of 286 associations representing either individual industrial sectors or regions and provinces, member of Confindustria. These member organizations in turn represent some 120,000 companies with approximately 4.3 million employees.

Founded in 1910, corresponding to the Confindustria about the Federation of German Industry.

President of Confindustria was from 2003-2007, the chairman of Fiat Group, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. From 2008-2012 was president of Confindustria Emma Marcegaglia. Since 2012 Giorgio Squinzi is president.
