Customers and Licensing
The manufacturer's customer list has made many large and international companies, including about SUN, IBM, Audi, Accenture, Cisco, Airbus, but also organizations and institutions such as the UN, CERN or the BBC and some universities such as Johns Hopkins University or Stanford University. In Germany uses about the German Bahn, the German National Library or the Online Encyclopedia Meyers Lexicon online software, in Austria the Vienna International Airport, the University of Vienna and the A1 Telekom Austria.
The licensing system was so far -ranging fine: free for non-profit organizations ( unlimited users, without state institutions, schools, churches, ... ), half price for academic institutions, full price for commercial use. This may vary depending upon the number of users. Differences are starter (up to 10 users), team (up to 25 users) Workgroup (up to 50 users) Enterprise (up to 500 users) and Unlimited licenses ( unlimited number of users ).
With effect from November 2, 2012 Atlassian has changed its licensing model. The package prices according to number of users has doubled, there is no Unlimited Licence with 2,000 users more. The volume is now up to 10,000 users licensed in the form of an Enterprise license. Many initially free plugins and extensions from third-party manufacturers such as Bob Swift or CustomWare are now connected with licensing costs.
The licenses are sold not only by Atlassian itself, but also by partners in different countries. These usually offer, in addition to the license purchase per se, nor additional services such as installation, maintenance and hosting of.
