Conrad IV, Count of Rietberg

Conrad IV (c. 1371; † June 21, 1428 ) was from 1389 to 1428 Count of Rietberg.

Life

He was born the son of Count Otto II of Rietberg and his wife Adelheid of Lippe. After the death of his father on July 18, 1389, he followed this as a regent of the county Rietberg.

On April 24, 1399 he married Irmgard / Ermegardis Diepholz († March 24, 1426 ), a daughter of John of Diepholz († 1422 ) and Cunegonde of Oldenburg. With her he had three children:

• Konrad V. (c. 1401; † October 31, 1472 ), 1428-1472 Count of Rietberg
• Johann (mentioned 1415-1452 )
• Adelheid von Rietberg († 1436/1439 ), ∞ Count Otto von Hoya ( † after May 14, 1436 )
